Toyota Technology Challenge

The Toyota Technology Challenge is an educational, fun and affordable national competition, aimed at Key Stages 3 and 4 (for 11-16 year olds).

There are two categories to the challenge:  Solar Power and PIC Microcontroller.

The challenge is to design and build an environmentally friendly model vehicle and teams will have the opportunity to win:

  • Trophies & Certificates
  • £250 (Regional winners)
  • £750 (National winners)

Plus a six day European trip for National winners of both the Solar Power and PIC categories.

Once registered, schools receive a free* kit supplied by Rapid containing all the components necessary to build a vehicle.

The closing date for registrations is Wednesday 30th November 2011.

*only one FREE project kit, either one Solar or one PIC kit, is available per school.  Additional kits will be charged as follows:  PIC £19.95 ex VAT, Solar £21.95 ex VAT. Schools are required to pay a shipping charge of £4.95 for orders below £30 (ex VAT) orders over £30 ex VAT shipping is free.
