The Design and Technology Association and Royal Academy of Engineering are working with the DCSF and National Science Learning Centre to run a series of one day courses designed for KS3 teachers who would like to develop their skills in order to be able to teach the electronics requirements of the new KS3 National Curriculum.

These courses are:

Let's Make it Work: Microprocessors - This one-day course focuses on the essential elements of systems and control technology to enable pupils to embed control technology into products that they design and make. Teachers will learn how to build small products using feedback systems incorporating sense and control devices.

Let's Make it Move: Mechanical Actuators - This one-day course enables participants to gain practical knowledge of using electric motors within KS3 designing and making activity.
